What is Montessori?

Montessori learning is a child centred educational approach, developed by Dr Maria Montessori, that encourages children to explore independently at their own pace, choose activities that interest them and learn through hands on experience. Adults guide rather than direct, allowing children to develop cognitive, social, emotional and physical skills, concertation and self belief. This is at the core of our day to day activities.
All rooms have a dance and music session with Katrina who comes in to visit every Tuesday morning. The Kingfisher room offers swimming lessons at an additional cost on a Thursday morning.
We also provide a breakfast, after school and holiday club, for children aged 4-11. Offering a welcoming, safe , relaxed environment outside of the school day.
Children are offered breakfast or a light snack and can enjoy a calm space to unwind, with their wellbeing at the heart of all that we do.
We drop off and pick up from schools in our mini bus.
Homemade healthy meals are available to purchase at a seperate cost, or a healthy packed lunch can be bought in.
We have a great outdoor space with a mini football pitch and climbing frame, access to the Playbarn at designated times.Â
The Playbarn is a wonderful indoor play area, where your child can enjoy fun sessions in our soft play adventure centre. We have a café serving a delicious variety of food choices including hot and cold drinks this is open to the public 10.00 am – 2.00 pm, Monday to Friday.
Sole use Party hire/room hire is also available of an weekday evening and weekends. This includes toddler groups and non profit organisations.
Aiming High Group – We offer quiet SEN sessions on a Saturday 9.30 – 11.30 am. We can have the lights off, less children and parents can meet with other parents offering friendships and support.
Our baby room provides a calm, nurturing and secure environment where our youngest children can feel safe loved and settled.
We follow each babies individual routine working closely with parents to ensure consistency between home and nursery. Babies are supported through sensory play, floor based activities and plenty of one to one interaction, allowing them to explore at their own pace. Our caring consistent experienced staff focus on building strong relationships, supporting early development and ensuring every baby feels comforted, valued and happy throughout their day.
Our Rainbow room supports our toddlers as they grow in confidence, independence and curiosity.
We provide a safe stimulating, nurturing environment where children are encouraged to explore, communicate and develop key skills through play.
Activities are planned by our experienced staff to support early language, physical development and social skills, whilst still following each child’s individual interests and stages of development.
We offer gentle guidance and reassurance, helping children to feel secure as they build relationships, express themselves and develop a sense of well-being.
Honeybee room offers a calm safe environment where children can interact with others and build positive relationships, grow in confidence, independence and self expression.Â
We provide a stimulating, nurturing environment where the children are encouraged to explore, communicate and develop skills through play. Activities are carefully planned to support language development, social skills and emotional wellbeing while still following each child’s individual interests and pace.

We provide a warm, safe environment where children are encouraged to explore, ask questions and develop key skills through play and planned activities, focus given to early literacy, numeracy, social skills and emotional wellbeing. whilst still very much following our Montessori values. Helping children to build confidence, independence, kindness and resilience . Â

We offer nursery sessions from 7.00 am to 7.00 pm
