The Montessori ethos at KinderWorld is embedded within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
There is a great focus on children learning through play and in line with Montessori pedagogy by developing at their own pace. Specific and didactic (self teaching) resources are used to enhance the learning and development of children in the Montessori areas of Practical Life, Cultural Studies, Sensorial, Mathematics and Language.
These areas of learning are skilfully cross-referenced with the seven elements of the EYFS; Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Physical Development, Communication and Language, Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World and Expressive Arts and Design. Staff will work to established routines of observation, to formatively assess the learning and engagement of their key children on a regular basis and they will summarise a child’s learning at the end of specific check-points in the year.
Our Montessori philosophy at KinderWorld is to ensure we are ‘following the child’ and nurturing them to fulfil their full potential as individuals.
